There were these two men from Mt Hagen who were heading to Chimbu. They got on a 15seater bus. The other had the bus fare but the other no. So before they would get on the bus, the one who had the money told the other in tok pisin..."eh bata, sapose crew askim long moni, u noken toktok, kamap olsem wanpla wau pas..noken bekim tok blon crew...inap ol i lusim mitla long Chimbu, harem huh" The other replied. Yeh, bata bai mi mekim olsem yu tok"
They got on the bus. While they were traveling some miles out of the Mt Hagen town, the crew started collecting the money. He came to the man who doesn't have the money," hey money blon u kam" The man didn't talk. "karrrrrrr yu save harem tu oh, mi tok money ikam" The man still kept quiet." Kaikai karamap, lusim em sindaun , em mas wau pas yah" The crew left the man and collected money from the others.
So the man wasn't talking since they left Mt Hagen. The crew turned to see the pretending deaf man, and felt very sorry for him. Before, they would reach Chimbu Town, maybe 10miles away, the crew went to the deaf and said...."brata, mi sori tru, yu wau pas huh"..in an instant the deaf looked up to the crew and said, "yeh mi wanpla wau pas man"
At that moment, the crew..stood up and said, " yu wanla hul man stret, why yu giamanim mi..kaikai kan na moni blon yu kam nau...
The crew beat up the man very badly and letf him in Chimbu.....
