If you make a donation to the Canadian Breast Cancer
Foundation, please mention "lacrosse" in a note with
the donation. At my request, in memory of my wife
Brenda, the CBCF will then direct the funds to a
facility seeking a "cure", rather than a "control".

Thanks!

After a couple of days of sleep, I can look back with much pride for the lacrosse community! The players, volunteers, and media all converged on the DOVE 2008 event in Aurora and demonstrated what can be done when we all work together!

Even friends who don't really understand the game of lacrosse shake their head in disbelief that a 25 hour game, played by 120 players, with 25 goal swings in the score would end up tied at 292 to 292. The last couple of hours were a complete blur after playing 15-17 hours of a 25 hour game with 60+ hours of sleep deprivation. All I do remember is the excitement, energy and buzz on the benches along with Gary Marks jumping up and down with his camera because he realized that he was able to record something truly spectacular!

It took many individuals to make this happen with a outcome which completely surpassed our own expectations! I thank you all! It will take me some time but I'm willing to shake each person's hand for making this campaign a huge success.

As the dust settles DOVE 2008 has generated somewhere around $50,000 for the Canadian Centre for Abuse Awareness! You still have time to make an online pledge at https://www.ccfaa.com/content.php?fcn=donateonline&src=lacrosse.

Again Thanks!
