I don't know the answer to that. But I also don't understand the reasoning for the ref's behaviour. Following a very obvious two hander to a Clarington players legs that sent him flying (obvious slash or trip - take your pick) instead of calling a penalty he turned to the Clarington bench and started laughing (this was before the yelling from the bench started). The first Clarington player to make a stick check following that, was then called for a slash and then the yellow flags and hat were thrown against the coach. All this with the ref having a big chuckle. From then on in (few minutes to go) if a Clarington player just tapped the bottom of the Beaches stick, not even a full check, they went to the box for 2 minute slash. Again with the ref chuckling as he did it. This is really what I don't get. I have seen some bad reffing and bad calls but never seen a show like this. Very unfortunate. Beaches players, parents and staff were not to blame for any of this and they weren't playing dirty in any means but the ref really changed the outcome of the game. Shame.
