JR CLAX 2012 UPDATE

by (Login JRCLAX)

All,

I would first like to wish all of the lacrosse community a Happy and Healthy Holiday Season. The CLAX Christmas Clinic was a real success last weekend (Dec 17th in Oshawa), and we hope you all enjoyed the experience.

I would like to update you all on the direction we will be heading for January and the start up of our league.

PEEWEE-BANTAM-MIDGET: We have made two IMPORTANT CHANGES.....

1) We are now offering a Basic Registration Package of $300 to essentially "Pay and Play". If you would like to add either or both you can:

$200- Four Season Passes for PRO CLAX games.
$200- Equipment Package: Bauer 7500 Helmet (No facemask)& Harrow Torrent Gloves.

2) We are now planning to start the season league on Sat. February 11th 2012. Leading up to this date we will be offering clinics for all players who would like to attend. This will be FREE for players/goalies who are registered for the JR CLAX 2012 League season. Those interested in participating in the clinics only will be charged $25 to attend. These clinics will be run by Jim Veltman and the 2012 JR CLAX coaches, along with special guest PRO CLAX players. Goalies will have goalie instructors who will work with the goalies to offer advice and support in their development.

We feel that with lowering the cost to play will open the opportunity to those who were discouraged by the package cost to play. Also, those involved in competitive hockey will likely be nearing seasons end in mid-February. The 6 weeks leading to the summer lacrosse season will be something most players would like to be part of.

If you'd like to attend the clinics, or would like to register for the JR CLAX League, let me know. League registration will be available at the clinics, and also by mail or email.

Prospects Division: Will begin play on January 13/14th 2012, and will go as planned. Our numbers allow for the earlier start, and with a more managable schedule then previously posted. Please look for the updated schedule on the league website soon, or email me directly to get the revised and final schedule. A few spots still remain for Junior Age players for the summer of 2012, contact me to find a team. A perfect league to stay in competitive mode, and to prepare for Training Camps around the corner. Get in while there are spots, they have and will go quickly.

Thanks, see you in the New Year,

Joel Johnson
