On Saturday June 9, 2012 we will celebrating "LacrosseDayInCanada.ca". We hope to accomplish two fundamental objectives this day: First, to promote the game of lacrosse while celebrating its virtues and benefits with those involved in the game. Second, to reach out those in need in our communities. We've always felt that lacrosse community had the passion and compassion to reach out to those in their community.
Our request is quite simple and your investment to make this a huge success is rather small. We would like you to celebrate and promote June 9 as LacrosseDayInCanada.ca! Select a local charity and create a fund raising protocol to secure funds for that local agency. We have all the promotional items online (Posters, participation certificates, etc) free! Our local group is raising funds for the Canadian Centre for Abuse Awareness and Spirit of the Stick through DOVE 2012. Your community, your organization - everyone wins!
If you decide to join our growing group celebrating Canada's first national sport while supporting a local charity, drop us an email! We want to populate our website with your LDIC event(charity selected, photos, stories and success). Our goal is to have a comprehensive national celebration were all Canadians not only understand the game of lacrosse but realize that with teamwork, anything is possible!
Cheers,
Jim
