I was wondering if anyone could post the G.P.A a player needs to play on the Edge teams, for all age groups and is there any exceptions.

You have to get and maintain a 75% average.
and the cost is quite a bit, but completely worth it.

Wrong

by u16 (Login u16)

I played on the team and there is a few guys in the 60% average that where on the team and from what I have heard from the tryouts this year there will be more this year, its a bunch of crap.

So the grades don't really mean much if your a good lacrosse player- they will pick you and take the money and then you can help one of the guys with good grades get into a school.

The grades thing is good for the media and just what parents want to hear before they hand over money. Good Job.

I know a few guys on my team that their mothers did there homework so they could keep playing?

have a nice day.

BS above.

by laxboy12 (Login laxboy12)

The kids MUST maintain a 75% + average. I saw 3 diff kids off the team for that reason. If someone says anything contrary to that the are lying. The program is good. It is not cheap. But to have your kids maintain that average...it worth it right there. Stew has a good program here. The schools flock to watch these Edge Players!!! Games with 40-50 coaches watching them play, while the field 2 down had 2-3 coaches. Thanks Edge it was great and we enjoyed ever minute of it. Oh by the way Halton, Brampton, Oville and Whitby parents can get along. GO EDGE.

Concordia Lacrosse

A group of students and alumni from Concordia University are trying to put together a field lacrosse team at Concordia to eventually join the Canadian University Field Lacrosse Association in a couple of years. I have compiled a list of people that are already interested and we are looking to hold a meeting close to the end of November to discuss what needs to be done for this project to get off the ground. If anyone is looking into playing some university lacrosse next season please send me a quick e-mail so I can put you on the contact list. E-mail me at [email protected]

Mardi Gras Field Lacrosse Tournament

by (Login dawgbone98)

For those interested, we have a team going down to the Mardi Gras Lacrosse tournament this February (the tournament is the 5th-7th and we are going for the 5th-8th). We still have a couple of spots to fill namely a couple of longpoles, a couple of midi's and some righties on attack (we have 2 goalies already so we are good there). If you are interested in playing, please contact me for details and costs.

You can find more information here:http://www.nolacrosse.com/tourney.htm

So far the team is comprised of guys who play for various teams in the OSMFLL. There is also limited room for those who wish to attend but not play (basically you just don't pay the tournament fee).

CUFLA Final Four Breakdown

by ... (Login laxfan8)

The Bank of America Baggattaway Cup

Ravens Stadium, Carleton University, Ottawa Ontario.

Brock vs McGill, noon, Saturday, November 7

Trent vs McMaster, 3pm, Saturday, November 7

BROCK BADGERS

Record: 11 wins, 0 losses

Scoring: 140 goals, lead by Chris Nash #13 (22 goals), #9 Mike McLeod, (25 goals) and #88 Dustin Dunn (15 goals).

Defense: 69 goals against. Goalie Bret Kikot sports a 5.86 GAA. The long sticks, are anchored by #6, 64 Nate Reid, and are even tougher on man down.

Pro Factor: Brock has four players in the NLL; Dustin Dunn, Buffalo; Mike MacLeod, Rochester; Jason Winder, Toronto and Dilan Graham, Boston.

X-factor: #17 Devon Sartor seldom shows up on the score sheet, but hes often on important ground balls and game changing plays. #15 Clarke Robinson is a LS middie who makes you keep your head up.

Motivation: Brock was embarrassed by McGill in last years semi. After 17 championships they think the cup is theirs and they want it back.

MCGILL REDMEN

Record: 8 wins, 3 losses

Scoring: 135 goals, lead by freshman attacker # 34 Alex Kruse,(30pts) and veterans #9 Nick Moreau, (28pts) and # 22 Nick LaCava (18 goals).

Defense: 81 goals against. Goalie Simon Hudson has a 6.36 GAA. All Canadian Brendan Farrer leads a fast and skilled defense corp.

Pro Factor: McGill has no NLL players on its roster, but they have 22 Americans.

X-Factor: #16 Sean Simeson is a hard hitting middie , who gets those all important ground balls and ignites the waves of McGill attacks.

Motivation: Coach Murdoch has raised the bar for building a program in this league by recruiting players in the United States and extending full squad off-season training. McGill wants to get back to the final they lost last year to Guelph.

TRENT EXCALIBUER
Record: 9 wins, 2 losses

Scoring: 124 goals lead by, #24 Chad Evans, (27 goals), #9 Mack OBrien (26 goals) and #18 Josh Wasson (18 goals)

Defense: 75 goals against. Starting goalie Kalvin Thomas sports a 7.00 GAA while back up Lindsey Cassel played at a stingy 4.67 GAA. Third year long pole #10 Seamus McGee leads stingy Trent back line.

Pro Factor: High scoring middie Josh Wasson plays winter ball with the Toronto Rock.

X Factor: #9 Mack OBrien scored 9 goals in two games against McGill. He didnt score against Carleton last week, so #21 Joe Stanley picked up the slack with 3 counters.

Motivation: Trent is CUFLAs Rodney Dangerfield, they get no respect. Theyre the little school who can. They defeated McGill twice this season to win their second east conference championship in as many years. With the addition of leading scorer Chad Evans, theyre ready to take it all.

MCMASTER MARAUDERS

Record: 8 wins, 3 losses

Scoring: 102 goals, lead by Carter Williams, #25(22goals) Sean Dechars #18(10 goals) and Mike Bottasso #4 (9 goals)

Defense: 96 goals against. Goalies Joe Tallis, with an 8.75 GAA and Wes Kendall, with a 9.04 GAA have split the duty, but expect to see Tallis in Ottawa, following his big win over Guelph. Macs steady long poles are lead by veteran #2 Shawn Mahoney.

Pro Factor: Ed Comeau, Macs head coach is the head coach of the Rochester Nighthawks. Ed is also the most experienced CUFLA coach in the final four.

X- Factor: Watch for # 34 Joey Cupido a very quick middie who surprised Guelph with 3 goals. #9 Michael Dawson took all the important face-offs in Macs big upset.

Motivation: Mac is this years Cinderella Story. After coming back from a 7-1 deficit in the second half of the Guelph game, theyve got to believe that the all - powerful momentum is on their side, and they can beat anybody.

These four teams are very close and should provide three great games to decide this years champion. Congratulations to the coaches, players and support staffs who have worked very hard to get to this critical point in the season.

The Bank of America Baggattaway Cup championship game starts at 1pm Sunday at Ravens Stadium on the campus of Carleton University.

Baggataway Cup

by qwikstic (Login qwikstic)

It's unfortunate that there was little or no coverage on this event, TV, Internet or otherwise. I would have enjoyed, not being able to make it to Ottawa this w/e (read hockey!), to take in a little lacrosse. From the sound of it, there was some great lacrosse played ending in another classic Brock/MAC playoff match-up. Although no overtime this year, the result was equally as dissappointing !! sad.gif

After seeing CIS football all over theScore this weekend, (again with devasting results) it's about time we started pushing for a little more coverage of, what is after all, our national summer sport.

Please feel free, as I did, to let them know a little lax coverage would be appreciated.

Congrats to MAC on a great year !! Oh yeah, Brock to, they win again.

Now lacrosse withdrawal really begins, how long until the first NCAA game ?

U 19 Iceland

by Tony Wolanski (Login mayantony)

For those in attendance at the Provincial Championships were treated to some outstanding lacrosse.I saw mostly DIVISION 1.
SEMIS: Oshawa and Six Nations. Winning margin was one goal in overtime with Oshawa victorious.
Orangeville and Niagara... defensive struggle. Both goalies and defensive corps were superb with Niagara prevailing 5-3.
The FINALS: The first, third and fourth quarters were virtually a draw with a one goal differential but Niagara outscored Oshawa 4-2 in the second thus prevailing for the championship and defending their title from last year.

What little snippets that I saw of the other divisions, the games were as hard fought as the above. Perhaps some associated with the teams involved can give further details.

KUDOS TO THE ORGANIZERS

Only complaint that I have is that they to turn on the heat sooner or provide additional blankets.( tongue in cheek )

Oshawa Blue Knights win Division II

by Tsitshoh (Login tsitshoh)

She:kon!

The underdog Oshawa Blue Knights II team were victorious in the OJMFLL Division II playoffs yesterday, while London took the Division III trophy.

In their semi-final, Oshawa was matched up against undefeated Peterborough who had defeated the Blue Knights by one goal in the regular season.  Oshawa opened the scoring early in the game only to see Peterborough quickly score two to get things going on their side.  After that, Peterborough went up 4-2 at one point, but the game was a goal-for-goal trade.  In the second half Oshawa's defence took it up a notch and matched Peterborough's fast paced offence.  The defence were responsible for many take aways at key moments to stall the Laker attack.  In the end, Oshawa overtook the Lakers and won the game 7-6.  Toronto Beaches knocked off Missy in the other semi-final.

The final game saw the Oshawa defence flat footed and Beaches taking advantage.  Throughout most of the first half, Toronto held 2 goal leads and had many chances miss by a hair.  However, near the half whistle Oshawa tied the game at 6 apiece.   The teams traded goals and the second half went back and forth until the Blue Knights managed to get a 2 goal advantage and hold on for a thrilling 11-10 victory.

Congratulations Oshawa Blue Knights II players and coaches Rick and John Phillips, Jamie Giles, Matt Chamois and trainer Harry Merzbacher and manager Paul Chamois - and big congrats to the veteran captains who returned to the team with a commitment to this team to see them through to a provincial championship.  It was quite the celebration afterward!

Story within the story...

She:kon!

The Oshawa Blue Knight II win yesterday is a story about team play - the sacrifices players make to ensure the team 'vision' is the one that ultimately prevails when it counts the most.  From where I was sitting yesterday, that is where things ended up when the final whistle blew in the final game.  It was a team win and everyone made a contribution to the year.  However, when all is said and done, there is one inividual story that is too impressive to resist.

#10 Trevor Cyr is a first year Blue Knight.  Not only was Trevor a member of the U19 Provincial B champ Blue Knights, but he was also a member of the Clarington Gaels Provincial champ minor field and box teams.  And to top it off, he was a member of the National champ Team Ontario in U16 field.  3 provincial and 1 national championship in one year is what I would call a pretty damned good year!  Congrats Trevor!

Wow...

by low draw (Login lowdraw)

... that is one heck of a season!! There are many people who would be happy with that many championships in a lifetime, let alone a season.

Congratulations to him and the rest of the Blue Knights players and especially to the coaching staff who did a very good job of keeping the boys focussed and positive throughout the days. The time-out that they called when they went down 2-0 to the Beaches is probably the earliest one that I have ever seen called, but it seemed to work.

Lacrosse is not over yet in 2009

by Kevin Caplice (Login INBLACK)

It May be Halloween but Lacrosse is not over yet!

There are plenty of games still to be played in 2009

1) OUA Women's Lacrosse Finals - at McMaster University Oct 31st and Nov 1st. Games are at 12:00 and 2:00 both days. Stephen Taylor, Marisa DiBari, Carolyn Toll, Molly McIntyre and Cheryl MacNeil will be officiating. Who is it going to be? Queens, Laurier, Western, or Toronto?

2) Senior Men's Provincials - At the Hershey Center Fields on Oct 31st from 9am till 6:30 and on Nov 1st from 11am till 3pm. Can Six Nations follow thier victory at the Ross Cup with the provincial Championship?

3) U-19 Provincial Finals - At the Iceland Mississauga Fields on Nov 1st from 9am till 6:30pm. Three division finals and this race might just be too tight to call.

4) CUFLA Quarter Finals Oct 30th at McGill 8pm, Oct 31st at Trent and Brock both at 2pm, Nov 1st at McMaster at 7pm

5) The Baggataway Cup - CUFLA Finals - Nov 7th and 8th at Carleton University in Ottawa.

Come on out and see the best lacrosse that the fall has to offer.

Peterborough finished off with an unblemished record as they draw Oshawa II in the Division II semi finals. Mississauga squares off against Toronto Beaches in the other Division II semi finals. These games are scheduled to face off at 10:30am, with the finals set for 3:30pm.

Division III semi final matchups are London (5th) vs Newmarket (8th), and Mimico (6th) vs Kitchener-Waterloo (7th) at 9:00am, with the Final game scheduled for 2:00pm.

Sure Is

by Josh Briscoe (Login laxman_11)

Yes, it is for real. Each team selected one player to represent their team as an All-Star to ensure that there was full inclusion, since it is a League All-Star team. The All-Star team will be selecting a Tournament to attend in the USA and the Coaching Staff will round out the roster with "coaches choices", much the same as what happens in Pro Leagues. As for "missing" players, that is a matter of opinion and a never ending debate no matter what team it is, so there is really no point in getting into it as it only devalues the people who were selected to the team and I would rather not do that.

I think D2 is pretty much set with Peterborough, Beaches, Mississauga, and Oshawa 2. London has an outside shot, but have to beat Peterborough and the Beaches and get some help to get in. It's all down to positioning behind Peterborough in D2.

D3 will have some great races & position battles.

Why doesn't MUFL join CUFL?

There are two University Club leagues. Maybe if they joined forces we would have an accredited University National Championship. With accreditation comes more dollars from Sport Canada. More dollars should translate into growth of our National Summer game.

Re: Why doesn't MUFL join CUFL?

by ... (Login laxfan8)

I believe there was a pilot project a few years ago where a few MUFLL teams came up and played some of the teams from CUFLA. The CUFLA teams walked away with every game without a problem (from my memory). I believe there was an attempt to merge the leagues, but with the cost of travel and the discrepancy between teams it wasn't in the best interest of CUFLA at the time.

This is a very informative article from Insidelacrosse.com, I though I would pass this on as it may be useful for many on this site.

Yours in Lacrosse
Adam Gardner

http://blogs.insidelacrosse.com/2009/10/06/the-role-of-parents-in-college-athletics-recruiting/

The college search for athletes has grown more complicated and increasingly competitive, especially during the past 10 years. There are countless components that require attention in developing and executing a successful plan of action, along with several key players who make-up the team that run the offense.

Parents can play a significant role in the recruiting process and in my opinion; they should make an active commitment to enthusiastically assist their children from start to finish in what will be a very important life decision.

What follows is my take on how parents can effectively participate in helping their kids confidently navigate a potentially daunting process, while avoiding red flags along the way.

Clarity

The best starting point for any dream or goal is to firstly establish clear objectives and time-lines. Begin with the end game in mind and work backwards to the starting point of your plan. As you move backwards through the recruiting process, you will notice checkpoints along the way that you will eventually encounter. Whether it is the signing of the national letter of intent, the official visit, or the first phone call placed to the coach, you will begin to develop a checklist of things to do.

Parents have the opportunity to not only encourage their children to envision the process, but to take an active role in creating it. Half the battle in reaching any goal is to understand the mission and create an educational, yet fun approach! The more we encourage our kids to take an active role in controlling their destiny, the greater the chance that they will appreciate the level of confidence mom and dad has in them.
Team

I am a big believer in the team approach to college recruiting and in developing a group of key members who each play a significant role in moving the process forward. Not only can this approach be effective, it will be welcomed by our kids. Student-athletes have a tremendous amount on their personal plates and developing a plan that spreads the recruiting assignments out will create a much happy camper!

Parents who have cultivated strong relationships with typical team members (guidance counselors, high school and club coach etc.) can begin to lay the groundwork to suggest specific roles that will be played out by each team member. Moms and dads can organize occasional team meetings at the house where the group can review regular progress in the college search and offer suggestions to keep the momentum moving forward.
Encourage Independence

College coaches will turn to high school and club coaches, guidance counselors and colleagues in an effort to gather information about the prospects they recruit, but they need to act as a resource for families as well. They want to be able to field questions from mom and dad, but when you break it down; college coaches want to see the prospect for who she truly is.

One of the best choices parents can make is to encourage their children to be an active and independent player in the college quest. It encourages proactive preparation, the development of communication skills and it fosters the courage to stand alone in a worthy attempt to take the leap of faith into the recruiting arena.

What might seem nearly impossible for some prospects in the beginning, will grow to a more confident approach with more practice and experience. Remember, college coaches are looking for 3 key ingredients in a prospect: Strong athletic ability, sound academic progress and a personal character that rises above the rest. Lets give our kids the opportunity to stand alone and with confidence.
Communication with College Coaches

Personally, I encourage parents to play a very active role in communicating with the college coaches. The final college choice our kids make will be an important one and parents should be there every step of the way.

Certain areas of the college search immediately come to mind as important for parents to be actively involved. Whether it is negotiating financial aid, requesting a preliminary read in admissions or asking questions concerning on campus safety, parents should not hesitate to respectfully inquire on behalf of their children.

Equally important for parents to develop is the patience to yield in certain areas of the recruiting process, especially when our kids appear to be stumbling. Making mistakes, or feeling a level of uncertainty is commonplace for prospects as they navigate the nuances of recruiting, but when the dust settles, our kids will appreciate us more for allowing them to experience the good struggle. Remember, college coaches want to see our children shine, but they also want to see how they respond when their backs are in the corner.
Red Flags

There are several red flags that could go up in the minds of college coaches and below are just a few tips:

* In face to face interviews with college coaches where parents are present, avoid answering questions that are directed to your children.
* Avoid responding to phone and e-mail messages left by college coaches that are specifically directed to the prospect.
* E-mail is used more than any form of communication in recruiting and although we want our kids to express themselves grammatically correct, parents should encourage the final draft to come from the prospect and in their words.
* The tough questions should be timed appropriately. You do not want to go into the first meeting with a college coach asking for a scholarship for your son! Remember, this is about developing sincere relationships with the coaches: Plant; cultivate; grow.

The rule of thumb in avoiding red flags is simple. First, develop a positive relationship built on trust, honesty and respect and keep the door of communication clear and always open. Secondly, parents will serve their children best by maintaining their position on the field and allowing their children the opportunity to make the play in the recruiting effort.
Conclusion

Simply stated, we desperately want our children to succeed and make right and well thought out choices and the college search should be no different. Many of us though, cant help ourselves from controlling situations, especially when it appears our kids are struggling. College coaches recruit families as much as they recruit prospects and the old adage is true: The nut doesnt fall too far from the tree!

Parents can play an impactful role in college recruiting and the best gift we can offer our kids is the freedom to spread their wings and fly. Focus on everything that is positive and fun in the college search and even when it appears our kids seem doubtful and frustrated, have the faith in their resiliency to rebound and to advance the quest with confidence and self reliance.

U19 - Will London stay B or will Oshawa take 4th?

by ocimim (Login ocimim)

The standings are starting to take final form. It seems Peterborough, Mississauga and The Beach have solidified themselves in B.

This leaves the last B spot up for the taking. London has a tough final two weeks having to play all of the aformentioned teams.

Will Oshawa 2 be able to leapfrog London and steal the last B spot or can London hang on?

What's your take fans?

Also Newmarket and Windsor are dukeing it out for the final C spot? Does anyone suspect newmarket can take away windsor's berth?
This will be interesting as they play each other in the final week. Predictions?

I have a strong feeling that a tie breaker will decide a lot of placements in the standings.

What is the protocol for ties in points?

Can I assume it is head to head first, but what thereafter, or if there is a three way tie.

How does it work if your home centre does not have field lacrosse, you played last year for another centre and a centre that is closer to you started field lacrosse for the first time and you would prefer to play there? If for example (illustrative purposes only) you live in Huntsville, played for Barrie last year and wanted to play for a new Midland team because it is closer. Would Barrie be obligated to release you?

The wording does indicate that the team has to be formed in your own municipality. So i would say first off, you would still need a release to go to another centre.
I would also like to think that if the new centre is significantly closer, and a release was requested, it would be granted.
It is always better when the neighbouring associations work it out themselves without requiring OLA intervention.

October is Breats Cancer Awareness Month

by Gary (Login kemplen)

The Toronto Stars Novice team turns its attention to support a great public cause Breast Cancer , take alook at this wonderful picture showing the team supporting the cause.

http://www.starslacrosse.com/

October 3 Breast Cancer Walk Toronto

Breast Cancer Ribbon

These days almost every worthy cause finds itself a proper ribbon, without getting into the debate about the use of ribbons and how people use them, there are not many ribbons that I know of that are more important than the breast cancer ribbon. Breast cancer is a dangerous enemy, while it is true that the awareness to its risks and the understanding of the prevention measures that need to be taken on a regular basis has increased over the years and had probably saved many lives, some people are still not aware of breast cancer and others prefer to live in some sort of denial. So why is it...

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

In Canada, 1 in 9 women is expected to develop breast cancer during her lifetime and 1 in 28 will die of it. October is the official Breast Cancer Awareness Month and we need your help to raise awareness of the importance of screenings and early detection.

Have you been personally affected by breast cancer? We want to hear about it. By sharing your story you can help a friend, a loved one, or simply a stranger who has been impacted by gynecologic cancers. Email your story and photos to [email protected] and help us raise awareness. Well then post your inspirational stories and photos on our website and social networking sites.

If there was ever a time to talk about it, it is now and heres why

2009 Canadian Breast Cancer Statistics*

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among Canadian women.

In 2009, an estimated 22,700 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer and 5,400 will die of it.
On average, 437 Canadian women are diagnosed with breast cancer every week.
Over the past 20 years breast cancer death rates have steadily declined in every age group as a result of regular screenings.
In most cases, early detection of cancer improves the chance of survival. Research has shown that women who have regular mammograms are more likely to survive breast cancer. Early detection may also mean less treatments and recovery time.

See below for your fellow participants' inspiring stories...

I want to share my story because I want to help raise awareness for women's cancers. In 2007, I received the terrible words that no one wants to hear after a biopsy. "You have cancer," said the surgeon. I was pretty numb and had work to do out of town. I was on my way to the airport. I just had to blurt the words out to my husband and tears came. We more or less already knew the results before the doctor confirmed it and were pretty resigned. But once the word cancer is said aloud and it is you they are talking about, there is a whole new focus.

My husband comforted me and we prayed. I went through my weekend of work like a zombie. It was a good thing that it happened to be a women's conference and I had many friends there to support me. Telling the family is a whole other story. But we got through that and had the surgery.

Things did not continue to go well in 2008 and 2009. Both my parents were ill and my stepfather passed away on Boxing Day. I was of course very busy helping my mother. Then our son-in-law had three strokes in the space of 3 weeks shocking as he was very strong and the picture of health. Things moved in a whirl to help him, my daughter and grandchildren. Then, I noticed a new lump.

I thought it was nothing and my doctor agreed, but he said that this new lump was worth investigating. Unfortunately the biopsy showed I had a malignant tumor. I had a mastectomy on April 8, 2009. My family rallied behind me as did my church and friends. It brought our family closer and in The Weekend to End Breast Cancer my daughter and I walked over the finish line hand in hand. I did not do the 60k, and not all my children made it, but they did do 40K and the grandchildren did their part, too.

Cancer is not pleasant. We must find a cure. Help us end Women's Cancers.

When will Canadian University Field Lax join CIS?

by BaileyQuarters (Login BaileyQuarters)

When will Canada's National Summer Game play for a true University National Championship? Currently they play for a University Club Championship. There's one in The East and there's a Matimtime Championship. I'm sure if it went CIS, you have University teams out West starting up?

Canadian University Curling - play CIS
Canadian University Rugby - play CIS
Field Hockey - play CIS

When will Men's and Women's Lax get the same consideration?

Re: When will Canadian University Field Lax join CIS?

by Buckky (Login Buckky)

When is a good question for the CIS. I'm sure there are many reason's but I beleive one reason is that the University club model is not consistent with the CIS. CIS would not permit NLL/MSL players to play nor would it allow part-time students to participate as well.

Must go to Calendar

by ocimim (Login ocimim)

from a previous post...hopefully you don't get chewed out for asking...

Look under the specific team or calendar for a specific date.

You will find the game results there. The site is transitioning to a more automated standings & game result system, so there will be changes as we finalize everything.

In the excel document at the bottom of the main page, you should be able to hit the 'scores' tab at the bottom of the document to get the scores to date.
Hope that helps.
Post here again and let me know if it doesn't work.[linked image]

Lacrosse Product Testers Required

by (Login SportSafety)

I am part of a not-for-profit working group linked to Loughborough University in the UK, focussed on demonstrating the benefit of directing R&D funding to driving true innovation in safety and performance to equipment manufacturers.

We have developed a brief questionnaire that we would like to be completed by players actively involved in Lacrosse. In turn, we will do everything we can to respond with encouraging a resurgence of lacrosse product development. Our case would be strongest supported by information from as broad a cross section of the active lacrosse population as possible.

Please click on this link or copy it into your address bar.
http://Lacrosse.questionpro.com

We are also recruiting for volunteers to test new equipment. You will have brand new custom equipment made for you at the cutting edge of sports design. All we need is for you to commit to giving us productive feedback on our products before they are released to the market. We are currently a little short of Canadian participants, and so are weighting towards Canadian at the moment, making it an ideal tme to get involved.

This type of study has been performed very successfully in the past, as a catalyst for enormous development of American Football helmets over the last 6 years, including over 25% greater impact protection and real-time diagnostic player health information transmitted directly to coaches on the sideline. We are looking to encourage manufacturers to achieve and market real advances in player safety, with the belief that introducing such products will make sport more enjoyable, accessible and help people enjoy our sport for longer.

Kind regards,
Simon Patterson

U-19 Standings tie breakers

by .,.,. (Login pishtosh)

Thanks for the latest standings updates at the OJMFLL site. We all look forward to individual game scores in order to fuel the usual obsessions. Can anyone clarify the tie-breakers for standings at the end of the season? With the format of 1-4 playing for B and 5-8 playing for C championships, the 4/5 and 8/9 standings get real important. The GFA average is used widely but I notice it isn't calculated for standings as they appear now.

Will this past weeks scores be put on the forum or ojmfll website or am I just not finding it?

Niagara Fields

by Man-Up1214 (Login Man-Up1214)

The Niagara Raiders are hosting Sunday, September 27th, at Niagara District High School, which is located on the corner of HWY 55 and East West Line in N.O.T.L. For directions go to the OLA websites and click on arena maps and look for MCU Arena/Centennial Arena in N.O.T.L. You will see the high school on the way towards the arena.

Hope this helps.
