Response to But you also have to consider...

Take the demise of the Soviet Union...
The population was released from the overbearing hand of a Govt' controlling every aspect of their life and thrown into a system where they were free to live as they see fit. It seems the whole population went into culture shock there for a while.
The darker criminal element was the first to grasp the new liberties and quickly took advantage of them.
Now all these years later the country is restabilizing as the general morality and good character of the Russian people come to bear. They still have a ways to go but as far as I can tell the new Russian society is coming along nicely.

I have only just begun to notice Turkey for more than just the place where Noah's ark is but as far as I can tell the situation is basically the same. It's only a matter of time before the good folks get a grasp on it all. Of course the twisted perversion of Islam that is spreading across the region can only slow down the progress..I generally like to have faith in the collective goodness of people and sure they will overcome and reclaim their country and the muslims will at some point reclaim their religion.
