Now me and Tom are back in England from our travels I thought that I would repost this poem to get things going again.

------* The Nemesis *--------------

From Mighty Turks they could not hide
they conquered lands both far and wide,
But there finest hour was yet to be
they would slay the Lion at Galipoli.

As husbands and brothers fell to die
Slay the Lion was there mighty cry
But amongst the dead a secret lay,
he should have lived, they would say.

For far away in the meadows green,
a brothers heart laid smashed unseen.
His gentle soul and idealistic views,
changed with that horrendous news.

But small was he and soft of voice
the learned life had been his choice.
But knowledge thought and diplomacy
could be the secret and the key.

Born that day amongst those spires
a nemesis would soar much higher,
If they had known of what would be,
they'd have let him live for all to see.

Then among the divided friendships grew
to take back lands that they once knew,
With soft fair hair and eyes so blue,
among these men a great legend grew.

A man not even of there breed,
helped with words and valiant deeds.
Not scared to stand amongst there clans,
to face the ones with blood stained hands.

He used the pen and not the sword,
and turned back the angry bloody hordes.
But for him that was not to be the end
amongst his allies and good friends

To be a hero amongst there creed
and to plant a tiny hopeful seed.
Of peace and love and unity
In hope these dreams one day may be.

Now with angels this brother lies
but remembered by historic ties.
As time flows by, once again
the world is filled with angry men.

But blood lives on from ages past
and a new young heart will come and last.
The mantle now upon his head,
he won't see the innocent laying dead.
