      This category is dedicated to the art of enamelling, as found on the magnificent dials of Ulysse Nardin watches. UN is using enamel in two ways:

      Either plain enamel paint in several layers, atop a delicate guilloche metal base. This draws its effect from the light reflections of the guilloche pattern and the the transparence of the enamel colour;

      or the famous cloisonné enamel, where enamel paint is filled into small cells made of thin gold wire. Here the enamel is used to form a pictorial scene.

      If you post a picture into one of the subcategories, please do so only if the picture is saved on a permanent server space. Otherwise, it will disappear here after some time, leaving only a broken link. Alternatively, I suggest that you send the pics to me, and I will archive them appropriately.
