Response to There'll be no pre-order for me on this one........

I have some of their original 1/24th scale fighter plane models (Mustang and a Spitfire). The ejector pin marks look like smallpox. They also use some media that's asking for trouble. Those flexible wiring harnesses are worthless for painting, and I've never like rubber tires, they're too hard to paint realistically, and they're also hard to remove flash and imperfections from. Better to get resin ones.

I have friends who are not too impressed with their subsequent releases on some things, then again, on others, they do an excellent job. Their Swedish "S" in 1/35 is an example of excellent.

I bought their 1/350th Lexington, only to read a review and find out it has a gap the size of a small county when you put together the front of the flight deck.

Watch your back with the bucks. I have to give Trumpeter credit for being fiercely competitive with their releases, but the pricing structure is looney.

For whatever it's worth
