Response to Early 90's DTM wheel sizes?

If memory serves me right, the Mercedes did indeed run on 18's, but the Alfas ran on big, six-spoked 19's. Width was the same on fronts and rears (though there may have been an exception or two that I don't know about). There was also some variation from year to year, and from wheel maker to wheel maker. By '92, they were running on huge rims with rubber bands stretched around them. (OK, I'm exaggerating a little, but not by much...) One place that you go to look at a lot of variations is the GPM site (Grand Prix Models). They carry aftermarket wheels in 43rd, and look especially at the Competition 43 and Sprint 43 lines. They usually have good photos, and the descriptions will tell you what the wheels were, what they went on, and the sizes. Sometimes, you can make out exactly what car they are on, as the photos generally show the wheel on the car.

Hope this helps...
