I picked up the GT from my LHS at a very reasonable price . . . $230.00 (Cdn). I expect it to be a long build.

I was disappointed that Matthew Wells has decided against a detail set for the kit; however, I totally agree with the reasons behind his decision.

The seats are clunky . . . haven't figured out how I will fix that yet, and some of the color callouts in the instructions seem just plain wrong. The interior also sports some kind of rollover bar just behind the windscreen. Again, this seems wrong to me. All the cockpit photos of the Mk II's I have don't show this bar, and I believe that chassis 1046 didn't have one when it won Le Mans. Please correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think Shelby American even considered a bar until after Ken Miles' tragic death a couple of months later.

Anyone have thoughts about a SIG to build this kit?
