Response to TRUMPETER'S GT40

http://www.gt40s.com/forum/ At the old Harrah's Auto Collection, there was a GT40 Mk.II in the markings of #2, though it carried no claim of being the winning LeMans car. It did not appear to be restored, and (IIRC) its stripes were a different shade than the white of the number plate. Lighting was so bad that I could never get a real good reading on what color they really were. Tyres were definitely GoodYear Blue Streaks on nearly-black alloy wheels. The car was sold when the collection was broken up in the early 1980s, so I can't just pop down to the National Automobile Museum to verify any of this. Phil
