so far, the only thing in which I'm disappointed is the continued use by car/racer kit manufacturers of chrome plated parts, as opposed to letting us avoid the messy Oven-Off routine, then shooting Alclad, etc. As far as scale effect, I feel that various steel/titanium/chrome/aluminum shades of lacquer are much more realistic in 1/12 than the gaudiness of plated plastic chrome.
