I guess the fuel mileage is the price for having a pocket muscle car like that.

I'm a die-hard rear-drive fan. I never owned a front-driver. (My wife does, though, so I cheat in winter sometimes...)

I wonder if modern tires are made for front drive and somehow don't quite do the job on rear-drive cars. I remember my Triumph Spitfire being pretty good on traction even with the primitive suspension, but my 2000 Miata is almost helpless when it rains or, heaven forbid, snows... and I have "all-weather" tires on it.
