Yes

The aero package was refined. The biggest noticable difference from last years car is in the rear defuser area and the addition of a "mid-wing," redesigned front brake intakes, the rear intakes, the corner winglets and other general aerodynamic revisions. I am sure you could pass the revell kit off as the 2008 with the right decals, though, as these changes are slight.

The changes are technical and or mechanical, like the covered brakes, reduced weight, etc.

the revell kit also doesn't have provisions for the leader lights, and is not in Le Mans low down-force trim.

Probably the biggest visual que is the lack of enough louvers over the front wheels.

Roll down to the bottom and you'll see the photo feature. They are from post qualifying so everything is still clean. Then compare those photos to these.

Anything can be done.

Here is a good pic of the rear mid wing.

Note the lack of louvers at the rear wheels.

Also you can see the leader lights on the side in front of the #2.

Here is the front veiw, look at the louver panels.

The fender coners.

Radiator ducts above the yellow rear brake scoops: are larger, as well as the brake scoops are slightly larger and a bit higher.

I will try to find more pics of the inclosed front brakes. They have CF covers on them so they are not open and exposed like the kit.

There is probably slight differences in the body nose, tail and wing as these are interchangable depending on down force. That is mostly going to be how aggressive the kick up in the back is behind the wheels, and what fence is on the rear wing.

Again, however, these are slight and would be only found if someone was really looking for them.

At least the fuel filler is on the correct side for Le Mans, which is interchangable also depending on the track and conditions of the track.

I guess maybe the kit has the correct front wheel louver incert. I have seen the with no louvers and a lot more louvers all claiming to be from 2008 Le Mans. I am sure they tried a bunch of different setups.

I think if you added leader lights, midwing, front winglets and corrected rad scoops and brake ducts you'd be good to go.
