Oh.

I recall there was a Testors spray can that was pretty close too. But I don't know if it's still produced. I went w/ the MCW cause it was closer to the color pics I had of the car.

Lacq.

July 16 2009, 1:09 PM

From their site, "Colors are formulated in lacquer. All of the finishes are pre-thinned and ready-to-spray to insure that the proper thinner is used at the correct mixing ratio. All colors are formulated to be safely used on plastic, resin or metal models over lacquer primer. Our lacquer primers are safe for use on plastic, as well. Lacquer primer is strongly recommended under all paints. This will assure good coverage and adhesion of the color coat. MCW recommends you test any paint products before applying to the actual model."

I air brush using their jar paints. Any good auto primer, can or shot thru an air brush, should work. Of course test on a scrap before spraying the kit.

Nope..........the car had a two tone paint job

The car was metallic blue with a very dark violet stripe around the middle that they called "burple" for bluish purple. It doesn't show very well in this pic but the stripe is not black, it's a dark violet color.
