Hi.
I have a(16th)scale VW Karmann Ghia kit by Revell with 'rubber' tyres. I quite fancy white walls, so does anyone know if there's any system I should use or anything I should avoid?
Thanks.
Paul K.

Do not use enamel......

I've used Tamiya white primer and Tamiya flat white acrylic. Any white enamel used will react to the oils in the vinyl which will cause the white to turn brown and then will never completely dry.

Take care...

... I did the same with my Karman Ghia and used Revell`s acrylic paint, applied with a brush.
The lightest pressure on the rubber tires (when pressing them on the wheels) made the paint crack and I had to brush the tires 4 times!

But in the end it looked great!

Wish you success.

Cheers Ralf

Easily done.

Shoot the wheels with a coat of Testors Dullcote first and allow it to dry a couple of days. Then paint your white walls with Polly S Reefer White.

These were done using this method.
