...and the original molds were retooled into the '66 annual, so don't hold your breath for a repop.

'66 repops, on the other hand, are common and quite reasonably priced, if you can make do with a '66.

If it HAS to be a '65, there's hope. Restorable original "glue bombs" and "distressed" promos show up with regularity on eBay (so do mint kits and primo promos, but they can be WAY spendy). Modelhaus has, I believe, a full range of resin repro parts (bumpers, grilles, wheels, interior parts, etc.) in their line.

You'll prolly have at least $50 in a '65 T-Bird project, and quite easily more, but it IS do-able.

ETA: You just missed one today! Unbuilt, seems to be pretty complete kit, went for just $54, which is about half of what I would have expected. Keep watching the skies!
