Response to Metal Models of France

I thought that the where "gone".

I am amazed at how many of these I have!

At one time Phoenix did a monthly "Phoenix Collectors News Letter" on two occassions they ran a competition for ideas for new figures. The prize was Tim Ritchard's sculpted the figures and these where then made available as part of the Phoenix Follies range. The competition winner then received a copy of each figure fully assembled and cast not in white metal but in pewter.

The winning figures where

Tribal Bodyguard-available from Metal Models
and
Leap-Frog-not (as yet?) available from Metal Models

The winner of both these competitions was (drum roll)-ME!

I of course still have the prizes and a store bought painted Tribal Bodyguard someday I'll paint my store bought Leap-Frog NO THEY ARE NOT FOR SALE-EVER!
