Im on my third day of using the Google Chrome Browser.

Heres the story. Ive got an old computer thats been using IE6. Its done a decent job and still continues to function well. However, it has been showing its age. It hangs a few times every day. Some sites (airliners.net) run slow. Strangely, when I try to view my own photos on photobucket, the images took ages to load but they load very quickly when I linked to them in message forums. And I see some sites say they will soon end IE6 support. So, while, its OK, I figured Id try something new. Because IE6 is still workable, I was reluctant to try IE7 since, I assume, it might overwrite the old version and I didnt want to find myself with issues I couldnt deal with (Im not a computer guru).

On the spur of the moment, I decide to try Google Chrome. This old clunker of a computer on has 512MB of RAM (dont laugh) and I wanted something with a minimalist reputation. And, if it didnt work out, Id fall back on IE6 and just ride this old computer into the ground until I buy a new one.

So, I downloaded the Chrome setup program which took only a few seconds. I ran the installation and had it on the computer in a few seconds more. All of my old IE6 bookmarks imported automatically. After some use, I found I needed the new Adobe Flash player and Java for maximum benefitwhich, again, only took a minute to get.

Now, on my third day with Chrome, it has been as stable as a rock. Not a single item has hung or frozen. Its getting along perfectly with all of my other programs. Photobucket and airliners.net are running at full speed again. I have not seen one single pop-up in three days. IE6 used to block MOST of them but a couple would occasionally sneak through. I accessed my accounts on all the big, important sites (eBay, amazon, YouTube, PayPal, Hotmail, Gmail, my bank, etc.) and everything has been 100% glitch free.

In short Chrome has been a dream to use for computer Neanderthal like myself. It does pretty much everything simply, easily and error free.

Ohso why am I posting? Guess what is the ONE and only site that causes issues. YeahHYPERSCALE of course (Network54 more specifically)! I had a devil of a time trying to post yesterday. Id log in, write a messagebut then get bumped back to the login page if I tried to preview it. Anyway, I THINK I finally figured it out. So Im posting this as part review and part test message. Part of that test includes posting a picture. Since the topic is chrome, heres a picture I took of a truck at a car show a couple of years ago.
