Kindness of Cigar Smoking Strangers

I got a nice surprise in the mail today.

I post on a Canadian car forum which has an off-topic area much like The Lounge here. Once in awhile, it would be noticed that some of us are cigar smokers although the subject was never a message thread in itself. About two weeks ago, one of the forum members sent me a private message asking for my address because he wanted to send me something.

He's a cigar smoker with money. I'm a cigar smoker from the poor side of town . I guess he took pity on me...and I'm not too proud to take a little pity!

At least, I don't mind pity if it comes in the form of Cohiba Maduro 5 Genios.

As a Canadian, I'm legally allowed to smoke these . Unfortunately, it's a rather Pyrrhic victory because the local tobacco taxes make the cost of premium cigars prohibitive. If you sneak a Genios into the U.S. you could probably get one for $20.00. At the local shop here in Winnipeg, they run about $60.00!

I'm saving this one for the Spring so that I can show off in front of my cigar smoking buddy next door.
