Response to KMET Los Angeles. Dr. Demento was the the bomb!
Part of my job was to listen to the cassette tapes folks would send in. I remember Al's recording of Another One Rides The Bus. And handing it to Dr.D and saying, I think this was recorded in the shower?!! What a fun time in my life. I was about 19. And the artest's I had a chance to meet. Flo and Eddie from the Turtles had the Sunday slot after us and they would interview the big rock bands in town. This was the casual interview you wanted to have in L.A. I remember KISS, Van Halen, (early years) Van Morrison, and performers of that caliber coming in as we were going out. And Yes, I hung around after hours. What a great time..
