5280ft. One Mile is 1.609 Kilometers. One foot (ft) is .3048 meters.

Now that I've re-read the question, the bottom is just a "trip-meter". More or less just to measure the distance of a trip you might take. You can reset it back to zero at any time. The top reading is the total miles the car has traveled since it was built. This CANNOT be reset. Unless you replace the odometer itself AND it must be noted on the Title (Legal Ownership and Licensing Documentation) that the Odometer was replaced.

The lower "trip-meter" and some Odometer readings will have that last digit (that's usually a different color) to give you the mileage in tenths of a mile.
