This weekend the annual SF Bay Area Maker Faire will take place in San Mateo, CA a massive gathering of inventors, creators and wild wing-nuts!

One of the projects that will be there is the Viper Flight simulator: http://tinyurl.com/6w2mg7r

It is a full immersion flight simulator inspired by the Battlestar Galactica fighters, where the operator sits inside the fuselage from of an old Piper PA-28 Cherokee, looking into three flat panel displays, while the fuselage moves on two axis in response to the pilot's inputs on his joystick! All this was constructed over many months by a team of local HIGH SCHOOL students!

Check it out - it is awesome!
