Response to how much to tip a pizza delivery guy?

thinking about being 4 bucks a gallon.

Pizza drivers generally make LESS than minimum, get a bit per run for gas that was probably set when gas was 2 bucks a gallon, and is woefully inadequate.

To anybody who thinks delivery guys don't work as hard as servers, because they get to sit in their car all night, remember: The server is not burning gas or wearing out tires & brake pads to walk a burger to your table from the kitchen, a server has never been run off the road by a drunk driver, bitten by a dog, or had your dinner stolen out of their car, while walking it from the kitchen to your table.

You can NOT tip a pizza guy too much.

Also remember, that when gas hits 5 or 6 bucks a gallon, you will not be able to get food delivered to you, because no one will be able to afford to do that job anymore.

Also remember: The "Service" you get from a delivery driver is bringing food to you, saving you the hassle of getting your butt out of your La-Z-Boy, and burning your own $4/gallon gas.

It amazes me when I hear people say "I tip the pizza guy a buck or two per pie" - I want to ask why they don't tip their server a buck or two per plate.
