There may be some other senior dudes around, but apparently the Viking Line food is primo, if one is to believe the video indorsements of previous Americanischer travellers. And, there are not just seniors travelin' in Europe. Flashback: there we were, the co-pilot and moi, sitting on the banks of the Rhine/Main River, the only late evening diners in a tiny restaurant in Rudesheim, FRG (circa 1968), and this gorgeous, Julie Christie lookalike walks in...alone. We figure her significant other is out parking the Bimmer, but no, no one else comes in. I tell the co-pilot I'll go over and in my best Deutsch ask her if she'd like to join us MAC pukes at our table. She answers that she would, in flawless American English. Uh-oh.....Sez she's been travelling alone all over Eastern Europe during the height of the Cold War, with no apparent fears...whasssupppp? Turns out that she's got diplomatic "protection"; Daddy is Assst. Secretary of State. O...K....Put her back on the boat--don't think it was a "senior" cruise--after we ate.
