Since when do B-29s have nose guns? Does the gunner for one of the turrets sit in the nose?

You are correct. There was no nose gun on the B-29 and from what I could tell from the pictures at the link he posted? That AIN'T Charles Buchinsky. He posted the wrong picture. At least from what I can tell from the site.

You know, that's funny . . .

. . .Because my dad told me that he served with him in WWII. Long story short, my dad ended up in the USAAF at the end of the war, and was stationed in Hawaii. Said that was where he met him. He always told me that he couldn't remember what his real name was, but that it wasn't Bronson. We would see him on TV or something, and I would ask my dad if he was sure, and he would say, oh yeah, absolutely positive. Said that Charles was real quiet and kept to himself mostly.

I remember seeing this on the local PBS late night movies many years ago where a U of I professor of film would set up the films with bits of trivia. For this one he told viewers to be sure to watch the credits because they wouldn't see Charles Bronson's name, but Charles Buchinski instead.

May your glue bottles never be empty, your paints never run, and your decals never silver. Happy modeling to all.
