Or at least his music. Always one of the iconic and unique voices in rock, I've loved listening to most anything that featured him. And as the CNN article referred to, the last couple of releases from him were just amazing.
His passing will truly be a loss to not just the music world, but the world in general.
May he forever keep the beat and sing his songs in our hearts!
..is indeed a saddening moment. I was shocked when Garth Hudson went a few years ago.
But this is somehow worse.
I've have listened to The Band for longer than I care to recall and I went to see "The Last Waltz" in theatres no less than six times.
It was the 4th DVD I ever bought and it still is on my shelf, gets an honorary play every year. Time for one more this weekend.
And, yes, I think its THE Greatest Concert movie ever made. (but Muddy Waters steals the whole show!)

I loved Levon's work, both in music and in film. I was just really saddened to read that he's passed. "Dirt Farmer" and "Electric Dirt" are both favorites of mine from the past few years. Have a good journey Mr. Helm, we're sure gonna miss you!
