I just picked one up at IKEA, the Flaarb was leaking and now there's a hole in my trunk.
I would take it back but the gas tank was under the trunk. My gas all leaked out and I am
stuck on the jersey turnpike. I would call for help but my cell battery is dead.
No I don't have Navestar or whatever they call it....
I built many Heathkits startig right after WWll.
Way back in 1963 I built their 17 inch B&W set, Of course that was before ICs (integrated circuits were comonly available) so there were literaly hundreds of little parts all to be soldered to a big circuit board. I was pretty lucky and the set worked with no real problem. Like pretty much all Heathkits the signal quality was very good,
While working in Switzerland on the PX15 submersible I built a small Heathkit audio amplifier marketed by Shlumgerger for Europe sales.
Those were the days when Americans actually made stuff.
