What was the most unexpected thing you've ever seen in a movie?
I was watching "Soldier in the Rain" and a dump truck pulls up. I was expecting it to dump some gravel on the army bases' walkway. Anyway Jackie Gleason is walking by, the dump truck tilts to drop it's load, and what slides out? Steve McQueen, perfect timing lands right next to Gleason, right in step, and they walk away talking. Like it was an everyday thing.
I wonder how many "takes" they had to do.....
Jackie Gleason's character makes Steve Martin's SGT Bilko look like garbage. Phil Silvers Bilko was far superuior to the movie, "Soldier in the Rain" is one of my all-time favorite films. It always made me a little leery about Supply Sergeants. Scabosis? LOL! Adios, Larry.
