Re: CNN program on affairs:
Saturday, February 10th, at 10pm EST, 7pm Pacific
CNN Primetime Special "Marriage Meltdown"

Peggy Vaughn is the author of "The Monogomy Myth"  (affair recovery book) for those who do not know.  I thought she may have some insightful information if you are interested in watching it.

Here is a link to her website and book, for anyone who has not read it.

I watched it... I missed the first half. I didn't see Peggy, but I saw Anne from Beyond Affairs Network. I remember Anne from her days on Peggy's the BAN (Beyond Affairs Network) forum. I didn't converse with her (I don't think) but I remember her being there.

It was nice to see they highlighted a couple who are working on reconcilation. Although they were three years past D-day, they seemed to be healing very quickly. One thing the betrayed wife said that bugged me was that she wanted to feel someday that it was "OK". I think she might have meant accepted it in her life, but the way she phrased her comment sounded like she wanted to think it was OK that her husband had his affair. On the good side, she recognized that either of them could have been the one to have the affair, because neither were practicing openness and transparency in the marriage.

I also tought it was nice that several callers to the program said that the "secret" to a long marriage is openness and transparency.

I agree Tom.

I was a bit disappointed that Peggy herself was not on as planned.  I think Anne took her place.

Anne has taken over for Peggy. She finally retired. Anne heads up the BAN network now. She's doing a great job. Peggy had been preparing her for quite some time. They think along the same lines and Anne's goals were right in line with Peggy's so she was the obvious choice.
