Shoot! More about REACH and SEFC

by Konni (no login)

One of the worst things about REACH is the money issues. When my insurance company tried to pay them for my surgery, they returned the check. IT bounced back and forth from them to the insurance provider at least 2x, and each time it was reissued, the insurance company allowed less and less money for the surgery. REACH refused to accept the check because they said they weren't contracted with my insuror. Liars! I later found out that they were. I lost about $4k from these shenanigans, and then came to find out they were overcharging me for all the other tests and procedures, too! They were an approved provider in my network, but they were charging me out of network prices.

SEFC: we first went there to see about freezing unfertilized eggs. I called first to ask if they did this and I was told that they did, but when we got there, Dr. Patton said they didn't, and he charged us $150 for this consultation that basically was to say they couldn't help us! He also would take 3 weeks to return phone calls, and his IVF nurse told me that they had a 50% success rate with women over 40, even though the CDC showed they had not cycled women over 40. I politely questioned this nurse and pointed out that even the best clinics only had a 25% success rate in that age group, but the nurse insisted.

I have also been told, but I don't know this for sure, that non-certified personnel perform IUI's on the patients there.

If any SEFC or REACH staff members try to post replies or flames, they will be deleted!!!!!!!
