Thank you Chris. Yes I am aware of this.

My son will be attending a camp soon which focuses on another endangered species. They'll be out on a 50' schooner studying the Northern Right Whale with marine biologists.

 

Northern right whales are near extinction due to past hunting pressures and are an endangered species; it is estimated that there are 500-1,000 northern right whales alive and they are near extinction. The southern whales are more abundant (there are perhaps 3,000 alive) but are vulnerable to extinction and are also an endangered species.

This is a first.

Ah! Metaphorically.

From 'endangered' to merely 'threatened'.  I understand.

I survived his affair and also learned it was up and running again, the start of physical abuse in the marriage, alcoholism with no end in sight, a move into an apartment, a 6 month long very difficult divorce, plus the house was on the market for 16 months.

The divorce settlement helped my son and I. The house sold last week. 

The hunters are no longer pouring gas into my den and chasing me down on horseback with a double-barreled shotgun in order to claim a bounty on my hide.

Now I'm the big bad wolf.
