I have no posted for some time on these boards; in fact, I even stopped visiting as reading the stories so filled with pain and chaos were just too depressing.
I'm about five years past the worst event I ever experienced from an emotional standpoint.
We are still together and our relationship, tempered by the fires of anger, bitterness, anguish and disgust, have been soothed and calmed by the love of God - in spite of ourselves at times.
Healing also takes the determination of two people who once loved each other very deeply, to endure the humility and pain of being willing to be honest and open in discussing what happened, how it happened and then to dedicate themselves to avoiding situations that could lead to it happening again.
Having said this - the next post will be an article and there is no question of copyright infringement as long as nothing in the article is changed.
