I just really like the lyrics to this song. I know, we all have our song when it comes to where our lives are at...for me this is the song of the moment that speaks to me. I have read many different ideas of the actual meaning behind the lyrics online, but for me they mean that the relationship is in trouble, he wants to try harder, knows they could have made it but they have already lost too much, and although they love each other, perhaps it just isn't going to last, everything in his life will change but his love for her remains the same. Sort of where I am, the realization that it's over, but I still feel a lot of love towards my WH. Yes - I will try not to look back and rewrite history - Opening my eyes to reality has rather blown away some mist from my eyes to the past so I suppose that is ok to realise.  I know what I loved back then and now I can see I was partly, at least, in love with the ideas I had in my head.  That makes me sad but with a full heart - sadness is like that isn't it really, full and overflowing in the heart - a grief of loss for my own foolish dreams - I can look kindly on that and not regret I feel.
