Oh, yeah. I think you definitely have a lot of company on this one, Jetta! I cringe just thinking that June 17th is coming (our 37th) and we "celebrate" it VERY low key. Mostly my hubby gives me lots of hugs

It's a lot easier to celebrate our Reconciliation Date more than two years ago now.

Two years. I remember reading about the minimum 2 year sentence from torture to starting true recovery and gasped at the length of time. I wasn't sure my H could truly last that long with remorse and a listening ear to my woes. But he has...and more.

we recently had our "40th" ... we went out for dinner.. No party as many of our friends have had..

All I can say is that the last 5 years have been better..so focus on the good things in your life..your family, health, friends.. all the things you are able to do..

I love that I am able to spend time with my darling grandchildren.. I morn for my friends who have died ( 4 of breast cancer) and are missing this special time.

So I send you big hugs and know what you are feeling.. the pain does ease with time.
