The Mic: What got this band together and started in
this business?
Jake Tabler and I (Brendan Arnold) formed the band in 2003 because we seemed to know the same incubus and 311 songs. (The old school good stuff from "Enjoy Incubus" and "Science"...)
The Mic:Who writes and produces all the material for
the band?
We all collaborate on songwriting, it usually starts with a cool guitar lick or bass line, then evolves into a structure.
The Mic:The band played in front of or with any acts
our readers would
know from the Mainstream?
We have performed with many bands. Pomeroy is one of which that we have performed with many times but is now becoming mainstream. We have performed with Steve Ewing from The Urge. Also, The Effects from Tulsa, OK are becoming very popular-we have performed with them several times.

The Mic:Any embarrassing moments on stage?
There have been a few drunken party gigs back in the day where we were all wasted, that was a great time (probably embarrassing, but we didn't know it at the moment) We have had a few awkward college gigs at FHSU and K State....(lunch hour with Audio Spaghetti)
The Mic:Any good stories you want to tell us?
We had a great time in Canon City, CO one time...We slept in the van in the alley behind the bar and partied with Slaughterhouse Roots all night. Last time we performed with Pomeroy a girl got drunk and threw up in the van...gross!
Its always a good story when 4 guys are running amuck all over the US in a van playing music.
The Mic:Who is the bands musical influence?
Everything from 311, RHCP, Green Day, The Roots, Jimmies Chicken Shack, Ozma - to Tiny Tim, Johnny Cash, Social D, (jazz, rock, funk, hip hop, pop) you name it were influenced by it one way or another.
The Mic:How did the band get together?
I met a guy named Josh (former drummer) and he said he knew a crazy guy in Lawrence (Jake) - We sat down and played the entire Incubus "S.C.I.E.N.C.E" record and said "hey this is fun" let do this...
Then we were playing college parties and Frats-now it big venues all over the MidWest.
The Mic:What is your musical background like?
We each had our share of bands, a couple of us went to school for music for a brief period the others are Art students. Music + Art = Audio Spaghetti
The Mic:Any other members in your family that are
musicians?
My dad was a Classical Tenor. everybody played music every now and then though.
The Mic:What is the TOP reason why you want to play
music?
The rush you get on stage when there is 100 crazies in the audience loving it. Its being on stage and being a performer, i feel like thats why Im here... to create music and perform.
what's your stance on file swapping?
If they really want it theyll buy the actual CD, they're just checking it out first....right?
what is the process of making a cd?
Write songs, go to the studio, cut a record, do graphic design, press the record, advertise it, TOUR!
how do you get the word out about your music?
The internet is huge for getting music to the masses, but the best way is to tour your ass off.
how is your local responce to your music?
Local is great, you have to watch out for over-saturation, especially in small towns, were down to a local show every 5-6 months.
what is the farthest you have traveled for a gig?
Anywhere from Denver to Chicago and North a bit and south a bit. Oklahoma City up to Cedar Falls, IA
What tune on the cd are you most proud of?
We are really proud of our new EP that we recorded in Nashville, TN. There are two songs on our myspace page from that session, they are great and we love them.
