Band:
The Mic: What got this band together and started in
this business? The love for music and the history we are didn't know we had. It came together without much work.

The Mic:Who writes and produces all the material for
the band? Well, Alex and Josh do most of the writing, but as a band we finalize as a group. As far as production-man we have had a few people get us in line with that- wait till the album comes out and then everyone can see the masterminds behind this project.

The Mic:The band played in front of or with any acts
our readers would
know from the Mainstream? We have played with Jason Boland & The Stragglers a few times- they are a kick ass band and real cool dudes. We have opened for Randy Rogers Band- they really helped us with motivation. We opened for Jackson Taylor and I don't want to announce it, but that is a crazy dude. We play with and are real good friends with Fat Dixie, they keep us going sometimes...GREAT DUDES

The Mic:Where can people access your music on the web? The only place right now is myspace....www. myspace. com/4barrelpistol. As soon as the album is finished we have some plans to get the music out there through other media. ONE STEP AT A TIME- we are learning that.

The Mic:Any embarrassing moments on stage? WHEWWWWW.... yea!
Come to a live show and we can almost promise one..LOL!!!

The Mic:Any good stories you want to tell us?
We met this real cool Indian out in Western Kansas and he gave us some no fooling indian stuff that will protect us, give us good luck, and some spritual guidance.

The Mic:Who is the bands musical influence? Alot of people man... Tom Petty, Mellancamp, SRV, Everyone in the Oklahoma Texas scene. Its almost too many to list. If they were in a band and played real music, we grab that and run as far as we can with it. To put names to it though- not really fair.

The Mic:How did the band get together? A band was looking for a sound guy and found a brother who happened to play bass guitar, thats really it in a nutshell.

The Mic:What is your musical background like? Well Aaron has been around it all his whole life- sound, production, recording, live sound and playing all the instruments. Then all your typical growing up and trying new things- we just found a group that wants to play and means what they play. We stand for something and thats hard to find these days.

The Mic:Any other members in your family that are
musicians? Aaron's dad is the man!!!! but other than your bonfire pickers and grinners- not really.

The Mic:What is the TOP reason why you want to play
music? Its lets us be free.

what's your stance on file swapping? Just respect the originator. PERIOD.

what is the process of making a cd? Start a band and find out..... Its a long process if you want to do it right. With computers and such these days, you can make one in a week in your living room. But, that is not what it really consists of. HOURS AND HOURS AND HOURS, that is what it consists of.

how do you get the word out about your music? The internet is a great way these days. Playing live shows and hoping people dig it and tell their friends is about the best way.

how is your local responce to your music? really its great, people can't figure out what to call it, that is kinda cool. Its southern, classic, americana, retro(what we just found out) rock and roll. Not heavy and not soft. We're from Kansas so we don't qualify for the RED DIRT genre and we're not from Texas, so you can't call it Texas music. Have a listen and let us know, but the local repsonse is awesome, we have great fans. But that sounds weird, we have great friends.

what is the farthers you have traveled for a gig? To date- 700-800 miles. This summer we are going out and that will accumlate alot miles on the ol' rig.

What tune on the cd are you most proud of? All of them, we like them all. They are all so different, but enough the same that they can go on the same album.

Now let's break away from the tradtional band questions you get asked all the time...Let's have some fun...

1. Why do HOT chicks date ugly dudes? They like pocket protectors????
2. Why are all guys in porn movies Douche bags? Cause they can be, they get paid to have sex with beautiful women....
3. When Rappers do interviews on TV, why do they always have a wall of Kung Fu movies behind them? Because Bruce Lee kicked it... real hard.
4. If a billionaire would come to your band and say you could play with any band..living, dead, broke up,etc.
*Who do you play with 3 bands one has to be your band...
and
*Who opens and who closes? The Beatles close the show... enough said. Then we would run in front of Wilson Pickett and Duane Allman and Eric Clapton... man this is a trick question. We would play with anyone, Live Rock-n-Roll is the only way, its all good. from the 30s and 40s on..... Or man, to be the opening act on the Girls Girls Girls tour with Motley Crue. That would have been an expierence you would never forget or never remember??? We don't play that kind of music, but still would have been killer.

Check us out on myspace. The music, the pics, the schedule, its all there.

Thanks for being with us today and you can catch these guys on { www. myspace. com/4barrelpistol)
