Hello ladies & gentleman,

In our endeavours to date, ATCA has touched on many topics. Some controversial, some frustrating and others heartening. I'd like to dedicate this segment to the influential force behind the reason why many Turkish and Greek Cypriots suffered for many years in Cyprus, until the day the Turkish army peacefully interevened on 20th July 1974.

I hope that you find it educational..I know I always do no matter how many times I see the photos or read about it.

Archbishop Makarios (President Of Cyprus at the time) seen in the hills with Greek EOKA terrorists plotting attacks on Turkish Cypriots and the British forces.

Archbishop Makarios blessing a hand grenade. I wonder what purpose this hand grenade was serving?

Greek Priest In Cyprus Hunting Rabbits Maybe? I Don't Think Rabbits Existed In The Streets!

Greek Orthodox Priests were amongst the organisers of a demonstration against Mr Bulent Ecevit's (Turkish prime Minister 1974) visit to the USA. It was only a few hours after that Stavros Tsikopetrides a Greek Cypriot EOKA terrorist attempted to assasinate Mr Ecevit during his address to fellow country men.

Are these priests really God's men? What were they preaching to the Greek people back in those days? What are they preaching now? I certainly hope it isn't what I think it is!
