First, the Greens Party delegation will come together with the UN Special Representative to Cyprus-Chief of Mission Michael Moller at his office in the UN-Controlled buffer zone.
The delegation will then be received by President Mehmet Ali Talat.
In the program of the Green Party delegation announced last week, a meeting was scheduled to take place between the Greek Cypriot Leader Tassos Papadopulos and the visiting delegation but the delegation will not meet with Mr Papadopulos during its stay on the island, according to the new program announced.
Members of the delegation will only meet with the Speaker of the Greek Cypriot House of Representatives Dimitris Christofias.
Tomorrow, members of the delegation will also come together with TRNC deputies Özdil Nami and Hasan Taçoy, who represent the Turkish Cypriot People at the European Parliament with an observer status, at a working lunch.
They will also meet representatives from the New Cyprus Party and will hold separate meetings with religious leaders from both sides of the island.
Tomorrow night, the delegation will have a dinner with representatives of NGOs and journalists from the North and the South.
Before arriving in Cyprus, the head of the delegation Greens CO-President Monica Frassoni and Euro MP Cem Özdemir expressed the Green Partys support to the reunification of the island.
They complained that three years after the entry of South Cyprus into the European Union, no substantial progress has been made in overcoming the last dividing wall in Europe.
They also warned that the introduction of the Euro in South Cyprus, as from the fist of January 2008, will inevitably create economic and social disparities and will generate additional problems for the North.
`We fell that, we, as Europeans and as political representatives, have a responsibility to support all those who are actively involved in bringing together the two communities to resolve this problem`, they said.
