I love the track (inst.108 ?) where pete sings about being 1/2 dead 1/3 alive. I heard him sing that song at the albion rooms but it didn't have the same beginning-sounds like two songs crashed together. Babyshambles -a beautiful collage of songs. I also love track 2 on the first album- (inst. 102 ?) Carls voice sends shivers across my body- good ones...
more more more. just can't get enough of the Libertines. love, lyrics, music, wondering whats next.

Whats next--- what about a babyshambles movie??? I would love to see those guys on the big screen. It would be a classic.! It doesnt have to be shot 'Hollywoood style" it would be great if it was low budget-documentary, some live gigs, shots in the albion rooms, nonscense, recording studio, London, America, girls, boys, arguments etc. etc.
Maybe maybe maybe.
I recall seeing a post on .org that some girl was making a documentary ? ? ?

I read that post about the documentary too and there was the same girl with a video camera at the barfly & lark in the park gigs filming the gig & also filming people outside queuing.
Could be the snippet in The Face earlier this year where Peter mentions a film supposedly called 'Billy Bilow' was a referrence to that documentary?
Do you recognize any more songs in the big file at the end of disc 2? I already posted on the other forum about it...which song is the 'In the morning there's a buzz of flies' line from? The line is also quoted in the libs booklet.

Also love 'Do you know me' - did I list that above?
Seems to be about the fans, no?
And is that someone blowing their nose in the beginning of isnt.102? Bilo! ;)
The song sounds somehow Russian..the beginning..and they mention Moscow in the lyrics too, or? I am not too good at making out lyrics.
Could someone have a go at the Babyshambles lyrics? I tried..but there's too many gaps to post it here.
I still cannot believe they gave us all those great songs!! Can 2003 possibly get any better!??
I'm totally chuffed,
Alex

oops..it is the upcoming single..I know - forgot to include it - it is somewhat similar to 'The last post on the bugle' I find..it is ok...but I don't love it as much as Babyshambles, What Katie did & France..yet...or even 'music when the lights go out'! Whys that not on there!??
and they covered a little of 'well I wonder' ! ! !
: )

Though they sound nothing alike, these songs and Suede's "Sci-Fi Lullabies" give me such a similar feeling, much to do with dismayingly similar personal circumstances in entirely different times and sounds.
It's frightening and I can't stay away from it.
It isn't possible for me to pick one, three or even five favorites from Babyshambles, any more than I could from Sci-Fi.

I am in agony.
I am sleepless since last saturday.
thoughts won't let me get to sleep.
but now i've got something helping me to survive this cold and lonely night.
can't help but cry when i listen to 'albion' or 'back from the dead', but it's alright.
it's just to beautiful.
makes me feel again.
thank you guys.
you ve conquered my world.

I adore the playingaroundwithpiano-part.
somehow uncostumed, but great though!
I always used to think you can't play such songs on the piano.
I always used to hate my piano lessons.
Was mistaken!
I'll spend my weekend converting the guitar chords into some for the piano. ;)
(oh, i start my sentences with 'I' far to often...) :)
--------------
I need some sleep!
I need a got mark in latin as well... :/

at the moment i'm loving albion, *the* most beautiful song in the world... and the cover of who's got the crack is fucking brilliant.
loving adam's what a waster as well.. he sounds so gramatically correct, it's like "mind your bleeding own you two bob cunt" as opposed to "min' yer bleedin' own yer 2 bob cunt!!" .. haha.
listening to what katie did now... shoop shoop, shoop de-lang-e-lang... good times :)
this really has made my fucking year.

yes..it makes me giggle hear Adam Green sing it the way he does.
And the 'what a waster' version in the huge 28MB file - just Peter & his guitar - made me realize what a *good* song it is. Not that I didn't like it before..absolutely love it - but it still sounds ace without all the wild ado and loud electric guitars and all of that, and that was pleasantly surprising.
and now I must put katie on repeat,
shoop shoop, shoop delang-e-lang,

I believe it was I that posted about the documentary over on .org. I was speaking to the woman with the camera at the lark in the park gig, basically to find out what she was doing with the footage (too much of me looking foolish in the front row I fear ;) ) and said taht it was a documentary she was doing with Pete about Life, Music and Gigs. She also bootlegged the 5 "secret" gigs and has promised that at some point she'll make them available to the masses via .org. Lovely lady :D
