what I wonder is who sent out that *official statement* about the band cancelleing ALL dates after Glasto to www.visions.de in the first place.

Isn't there enough chaos surrounding the band at the moment!? Why add more confusion to that by spreading crap about more cancelleations!?

*grrrr*

I don't know WHO sent out the info, but it is obviously true cause Visions themselves were concerned as The Libertines were supposed to play at the Visions Westend festival. Also, they have been removed from the Haldern schedule. So the European dates ARE cancelled. But I'm wondering why Reading and Leeds are not?!? Are they expecting Pete back by late August?!?

of course none of us know who sent that to visions.de - my point was that it was so unnecessary to include leeds & reading in the list of cancelled gigs when it's not true at all.
we believed the *official statement* as well and also put it in our news and people who bought tickets for leeds & reading got all paranoid.
It upsets me that we involuntarily caused more confusion with our little fan site.

Hmm..we could try a new tactic..whenever a new 'official statement' surfaces somewhere, we post the exact opposite of what it says - and will probably - once a few days have passed - find out that it is the truth ;)
