That other review pretty much says it all. Great show, but not the same without Pete. Only one heckler. Pretty dead crowd for most of the set til I Get Along when people went mad up front. After the show Carl was nice enough to sign everything in my hands. He was so generous to my friend and I and we couldn't even understand a word he said. Something about how he got Johnny Rotten's autograph once.

and what about Anthony? Any good on guitar? And did he also sing!?

About the mumbling...I've only spoken very shortly to him but understood him ok. The singing is another thing..I only understand half of what both of them are singing when there isn't a lyric sheet. What about little libertine babelfishes for the lyrically challenged like me? It'd even be in keep with the overal maritime theme : )

Oh yeah, Anthony was okay. Even the hecklers said "we love you too, Anthony." John did most of the backup though (Anthony would chime in every so often.) Saw him too after the show, he shook our hands. "Good guys, good guys. Do you have a smoke?" Unfortunately we did not.

Ah yes, the heckler. He ceased after I shouted a string of obscenities in his direction, the weak bastard.
I couldn't understand what Carl said to me, either. I thought it was because my ears were ringing.
Peter *was* missed, but since I knew he wouldn't be there it would've been silly of me to feel disappointment at his absence.

Lovely to hear that you enjoyed the show as much as I did.
