"Brit punk quartet the Libertines have temporarily replaced founding guitarist Pete Doherty while he battles drug addiction. "he needs to get better before he can rejoin them," a spokesperson says. Last spring, drummer Gary Powell told us, " Aftera show, most bands drink a few beers. With us, Carl runs off with a girl, and Pete runs off to get drugs. I guess we're not like most bands."
