Hey all,
- The cat's out the bag... Yes, it's official...
... The top-three, gold-selling, Mercury-nominated, band of 2003, THE
THRILLS are headlining this month's THE BASEMENT CLUB: Gordon Raphael
and
rockfeedback.com's club-nite, on Thursday 21st August.
As you can imagine for a new band-sensation that are able to sell out
venues
to thousands, playing a venue such as ours - of 150-capacity - means
that,
sadly, a lot of people are going to be disappointed.
Yet, over the course of the next week, there'll be contests across
radio/press and the official Thrills' website (that one online now @
http://www.thethrills.com, as it happens...) where you could possibly
grab
tix for this unique, intimate show... Or, if you're quick - you might
be
able to buy some from us directly at rockfeedback, in the below
club-link:
Also performing on the night, are Canada's immensely-tipped THE STILLS
(who
themselves could headline, as it is), and DJ-ing will come, as ever,
from
The Basement Club regulars and very special guests.
- If you miss out - the week after on Thursday 28th August, we have
Deltasonic's THE ZUTONS headlining The Basement Club - in a rescheduled
appearance from May - alongside the industry-psyched DOGS DIE IN HOT
CARS,
plus guest-DJ's. Only a fiver entry.
- And, for those not at Reading/Leeds - Friday 22nd August sees the
ever-emergent MISS MACHINE headline the Queens Of Noize/Barfly nite -
http://www.barflyclub.com; be there if you can.
- That's the latest in our promotions; currently on rockfeedback.com
itself:
JET are our latest Band of the Week; we're now part of the Beggars
Banquet
Group's digital singles-download club, which means you can get musical
net-goodies via us (see current front-page for details) from new and
established acts alike; we've got reviews from Europe, the States and
UK
covering the pedigree of acts such as THE ROLLING STONES, SERAFIN, THE
ELECTRIC SOFT PARADE, and loads more besides.
- Plus: the most recent instalment from record-producer, GORDON
RAPHAEL, who
hints to us xclusivly about the greatness of the second STROKES' LP,
whilst
gets up to mischief in Japan; and there is also all the usual news,
global
gig-guide, contests and additional features you love/hate us for -
updated
daily, as delivered by our tireless team of 25 global-troops.
... from us @ http://www.rockfeedback.com - cheers, and regards,
TL: creator/editor.
