Hi, I just came across this site in search of the lyrics of the acoustic version of "what a waster" on "babyshambles".
The lyrics are basically the same as in the single version, but is anyone able to figure out the word following the passage given above, before "prophecies"?
(When she wakes up in the morning
She writes down all her dreams
Reads like the book of revelations
Or the ??? prophecies)
arne.

it's this really trashy contemporary novel incorporating all of this new agy bullshit. it's terrible, i actually had physical symptoms of disgust when i tried reading this disaster of a book. although it was wildly popular among a certain set of pseudo-intellectuals. yuck! (and to think it replaces ulysses from the original! cringe cringe cringe...)

what a strange and twisted collage of half devoured theories & new agey bollocks - it basically presents E. Lessing's thoughts from his essay 'Erziehung des Menschengeschlechts' only viewed through a cheap plastic caleidoscope tearing all aesthetic form into a meaningless blurry melange of mad colours. Nothing wrong with kaleidoscopes as such...it's just you shouldn't confuse them with a pair of glasses.
How is this 'book' meant to replace Ulysses though?

yes, need to clarify. i meant that the original libertines lyric is "unabridged ulysses," otherwise the celestine prophecies is in no way approaching the proximity of ulysses in any imaginable comparison. did you try to read that book as well alex? the horror the horror! i only even touched it based on a very bad recommendation from my cousin...

no,I didn't. I looked it up after you posted about it, found a few quotes and summaries and was terrified. Please excuse me for being so thick & misunderstanding the Ulysses bit..I was expecting that the fans of this book have a cult going of how parts of said book are comparable in their sheer geniusness to 'Ulysses' and would have loved to hear about those passages ;)
Hmm..have you listened to 'A song for lovers yet'? I finally managed to upload it. My internet connection was a bit crappy tonight. It didn't match any of my expectations. I shant say more for now. Uhmm...what do you think of it?
