wow.

saw the libs in nighttown, rotterdam, and it was fucking great. i completely freaked out. and even though pete wasn't there it was just amazing. they played for like one hour and fifteen minutes and that was more than i've ever dreamed of. the gituarist who replaced pete was also very good. and all that for just 10 euro. that's something like 6 or 7 pounds. i loved them already and now i even love them more.

is it possible that we can find a way together to force pete quiting with his candies and kick him back in the greatest band in the world?

i mean, it's such a waste. it makes me very sad when i think about the way it goes right now.

oh, yeah, especially when they played "what became of the likely lads".... which was my favourite again.

great show and perfect sound this time (so much better than in berlin - the sound i mean, not the show... both shows were great and very different, except for the setlist, which was almost the same as in berlin). very nice venue too.

the dutch crowd was quiete reserved, werenīt they?

with every gig i love the band even more. where is it all gonna end?!

pictures to come soon....

the crowd indeed was very reserved. but especcialy in rotterdam that's a problem. maybe you saw a small group in the front going wild. well, that was me with my friends. it bothers me a lot that anybody wants to dance or something. another thing in rotterdam this weekend was that it was a small festival where also people came to see other bands playing. so not everybody came for the libertines. it appears to me that the libertines don't have a lot of fans in holland.

oh, wasnīt that big of a problem that people were rather reserved (especially on the left handside were i was), as i didnīt need to fear that my stuff would get destroyed or something. (i kept it, didnīt give it to the whatever it is called LOL)

it bothers you that people want to dance?! huh?

yeah, strange that the libertines donīt have that many fans in holland. same with the coral, isnīt it?
dance music is quiete big in rotterdam, no? i didnīt understand how people could like some of those dance-songs which were played, right before the libs got on stage; they (in addition to the bad air and my cold i had caught in the morning) put me in a really bad mood.
but it all was good in the end.

another thing i noticed is that singer/songwriters are much bigger in holland than in germany.... dammit, i wish i could see ed harcourt the upcoming weekend in rotterdam. at the moment iīm not up for another rather long travel....enjoying the new album instead.
