hey, my name is Camille, i live in Paris, and i've been to the gig of the libs two days ago (amaziiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnggggg)
i'm a big big big fan of the libertines, so i wanted to know if i had understood what u wrote:
IS THERE A GIG OF THE LIBERTINES IN PARIS ON THE 17TH OD DECEMBER????????????

coz i didn't hear anything about it, and moreover, u know, with what carl said about stopping touring because of his operation and everything, i don't know...

coz if there's a gig in paris on the 17th of december, I'LL DEFINITELY BE THERE!!!

well apparently the gig is organised by the ratp (=parisian tube company, for the non-french). They already organised this kind of event last year, with Placebo, and tickets could be won by sending text messages. I still don't know how it will be organised this year. It seems that the place of the gig will only be known at the last minute. Other sources say that tickets could be obtained via the fanclub. Well nothing is clear, but there is an updated thread on the official forum...

tickets for the gig have to be won by sending a text message at 71456 from the 25th of november, writing RATP

only 350 tickets for this gig...that's going to be difficult!!

Ich möchte so gerne auf ein Konzert von den Libertines, aber so wie's aussieht, ist das nicht sehr wahrscheinlich. Nach Deutschland kommen sie ja wohl ertsmal nicht (bin übrigends auch aus dem Norden [Hannover]). Und ob ich einfach so nach Frankreich kann...? Alleine jedenfalls nicht, und sonst kenne ich niemand, der auch Libertines fan ist. Auf dieser französichen Website bin ich auch nicht durchgestiegen...sieht echt nicht gut aus für mich, werd wohl viele viele Monate warten müssen, bis die Libertines vielleicht mal wieder gen Deutschland kommen...schade...

I'm starting to think we should all get together for a Libertourines farewell meet-up. But I'm afraid I can't go... I've already booked a flight to Liverpool for December, I can't afford to spend any more money

Well, for sure, I'm trying to win tickets for this gig, but the number of tickets is so limited, and fans of pj harvey will try to win them as well... I couldn't go to their latest gig and would love to go to this one
It would be really great to have a kind of farewell meet-up, though it's going to be difficult. Well, if you (or Lily, or Alex) ever play to this game and win, tell me, in case I would have won as well, we could go together!
