sorry. another time.

something like "i like your style"... it´s old, has got something to do with ships and their flags (you could see who´s your friend and who´s your enemy by the flags, which showed the nationality, some centuries ago)... someone else can explain it better.

Thats right.
if you want to translate it in modern language it means something like : "I like your style" or "I like the way of your thinking"!

so we all like the cut of the libertines' J.I.B. ?

oh I've got the dvd now and I love it.

jibs a train of thought, i think, so i think its i like the way your thinking. maybe, i had to look it up in the dictionary for all i know it could be a pair of jeans

jib doesnt stand for anything. a jib is part of the rigging on a boat or ship,that phrase was probably started by sailors many years ago.
